Welcome to Rowcroft Medical Centre

Rowcroft surgery

Our website aims to give you as much information as possible about the Practice, those who work with us, the services we offer, how to contact us when you need help, and to keep you up to date with health care services locally.

We are closed this afternoon (Wed 21st September) from 1.00 - 4.00 for staff training. Please accept opur apologies for any inconvenience caused

You may have read in the press that there are nationwide GP recruitment problems. Unfortunately this is now affecting Rowcroft and the service we can provide. Our appointment system is under considerable pressure and you may have to wait longer to see your GP for routine matters.

Please remember that some routine health issues can be dealt with by your local pharmacist. If patients use pharmacists sensibly it would free up GP appointments for more serious complaints.

Repeat prescriptions - A call for help

We, and our local Pharmacy colleagues, are struggling to meet patient expectations with regard to repeat prescription requests.

In any three month period we will produce prescriptions for around 36,000 repeat items so we must be allowed time to produce a prescription, have it checked & signed and the Pharmacy must have time to dispense the item. The system is put under more pressure by patients who forget to place their order then expect to go to the front of the queue and by patients querying where their order is in the system.

Order in good time.   YOU MUST ALLOW US TWO WORKING DAYS before you collect your prescription from Rowcroft Medical Centre.

If you are collecting from your Pharmacy then YOU MUST ALLOW A FURTHER WORKING DAY before you visit your Pharmacy.

Please don’t call us to check on the progress of your order.

With your help we can make the system run more smoothly for everyone.

Thank you
