Staff

We have a full Primary Health Care Team with District Nurses, Health Visitors, Midwives and Community Psychiatric Nurses.

The Nursing Staff

We have three practice nurses:

Sister Lynn Dhany RGN, ONC, Asthma Dip, MHI PC
Sister Dhany (with Sister Hewitt-Stubbs) is responsible for the management of patients with asthma, providing support and advice where needed. She is also responsible for the annual over 75-year health check and is the lead nurse for the University of Gloucestershire students. She runs our stop smoking clinic with Sister Hewitt-Stubbs and is the lead nurse for mental health.

Sister Julie Hewitt-Stubbs RGN, Asthma Dip, COPD Dip, Diabetes Dip, CVD assessment
Sister Hewitt-Stubbs (along with Sister Dhany) is responsible for the management of patients with asthma, COPD and diabetes, providing advice and support where necessary. She is also lead nurse for our travel clinic.

Sister Lin Emmett RGN  FPA Cert, CHD Cert
Sister Emmett is responsible for the management of patients with coronary heart disease and the management of patients with diabetes, providing advice and support where needed.  She also runs our stop smoking clinic and, with Dr Delhanty, runs the family planning clinic.

In addition to the specific roles, our nurses provide a wide range of services including cervical smear tests, travel advice and vaccinations, blood pressure monitoring, ear syringing and health checks. Our nurses are very experienced and will give telephone advice regarding medical problems referring on to the doctor when appropriate.

You can make an appointment directly with the nurse via reception without needing to see a doctor first.
